Event Details

Elimination Communication (EC) is practiced in several countries and is based on the principal that babies can give and receive queues about going potty. Do you practice EC? Would you like to learn more?  Come join other newbies and experienced EC'ers at Caribou Baby! Moms, dads and caregivers are welcome with or without babies.

The meetup begins with an information session lasting about 30 minutes which covers the basics of EC.  This will be followed by an informal discussion where people can share their experiences, ask questions and connect with others practicing EC. Please bring your own potty (if you'd like) and a towel or blanket to catch any spills. There will also be access to a restroom which has a standard toilet and a toddler potty.

The following is a description of EC from diaperfreebaby.org:

EC is NOT potty training. It is a gentle, natural, non-coercive process by which a baby, preferably beginning in early infancy, learns with the loving assistance of parents and caregivers to communicate about and address his or her elimination needs.
