Caribou Baby presents The Rocking Chair Music Series, a weekly music event for kids and grown-ups alike. Inspired by the beautiful rocking chair in our family lounge, the series brings the spirit of spontaneous family sing-alongs to Caribou Baby's sunny back room. Due to limited space, we recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time below or in the store.
May 15th, Stephanie Larson
After hearing Stephanie's beautiful voice singing along at one of the Rocking Chair shows, we invited her to take over the chair duties herself. Thankfully she accepted and played a great show, all while wearing her baby on her back! It turns out she forms half of the indie-folk duo, The Larson Sisters.

Our very own accountant, AKA The Singing CPA is back singing songs from his award winning children's album, Magical Boxes. Yipee!
May 29th, Mr. Butch
Mr. Butch started playing music for kids about 8 years ago when he became the music teacher of a West Village preschool. He then started playing at birthday parties and events around NYC. He recorded a CD of his favorite kids songs with producer Andy Chase (from the band Ivy, Brookville) in 2007. He'll also be releasing a CD of his own kids songs (again with producer Andy Chase) hopefully sometime this Fall. He has also written songs for the Village Preschool Center and for the Bank Street Family Center.

Local mom and lead singer of Las Rubias Del Norte, Allyssa brings her ukelele and sings for the kids and adults alike. She manages to weave songs from Beatles and the Sound of Music with familiar kids numbers with a unique angelic voice.
